We have prepared a programme of inclusive, fun and nurturing sessions. They are full of useful tips to increase your confidence in yourself through becoming stronger, supple , curious,  and playful. Join us!

What is the session about?:

These fun and friendly monthly sessions are open to anyone over the age of 50, and will focus on supporting participants to build strength, physical confidence and prevent falls through dance and somatic exercises.

We do a combination of seated work, barre and dance, using music from a variety of styles.

We also work with a range of techniques to build efficient neurological connections to movement which, amongst other things, support participants to reduce the risk of falls and subsequent injuries, improve physical and mental health and enhance their quality of life and independence.

The sessions can be tailored to your needs. They take place in a fun and supportive environment peppered with music and fluid movement. We focus on awareness of our bodies, increasing our strength and flexibility, and working with the visual, vestibular and proprioceptive systems.  Special attention will be paid to breathing too, to regulate our nervous system.

Who is this for?

Open to older adults who due to age, medication, transitional stages and/or medical conditions, feel less steady on their feet and would like to feel safer. If you would like to develop your balance, improve strength and coordination,  promote your physical capabilities, reduce the fear of falling, gain confidence and meet some lovely people along the way, this might be your class.

This class is dementia and Parkinson’s friendly and wheelchair accessible.
