‘My sister suggested I go with her to an exercise class where you sit on a chair for 1/2 of the session. Count me in, I exclaimed. Well, what an eye opener!
Gyrokinesis is a great way to exercise without the usual parameters and is completely
different to any class I have done before. I relish the style and exuberance of Zumba, the creativity and holistic nature of Pilates and the self discipline and awareness that ballet brings. This class has it all. Rosaria is best placed to explain about Gyrokinesis. All I can go on is that my body is more flexible, my energy levels have increased and I look forward to every session. Last year I started attending the classes in Hove. This year I am attending the classes on Zoom. We are all ages, shapes and sizes with the occasional male thrown in for good measure, including my husband. You can also put in the amount of effort that you decide is right for the day.
Rosaria herself is the kind of teacher you wish you had experienced at school. She is motivational, explains what you are doing and why, has a mischievous sense of humour and delights in the successes of her attendees. I come away from each session feeling uplifted, fulfilled and ready to take on whatever the world throws at me next.Thank you Rosaria‘. (Jennifer, Hove)
‘The Brighton & Hove Parkinson’s branch meeting had the pleasure of having Rosaria Gracia come to us for a “dance movement” demonstration. Surprisingly, she entered the room with a contagious smile, and within minutes had us all moving our hands to music. Her energetic “let’s all join in” personality encouraged everyone no matter what their condition to participate in the movement activities. Faces began to smile, there was laughter and everyone felt better. We were being lead through a series of hand exercises, arm swinging, facial massage, arm and chest openings, hip swinging, feet tapping and circles, posture exercises, chest breathing and so forth. Amazingly all that was accomplished within the hour.
What makes Rosaria unique is her inviting manner to make everyone feel comfortable and her sense of catching the spirit of the group. She gives playful, clear step-by-step instructions that activate your participation in it all. I saw people in wheel chairs waving their arms and legs and laughing.
After the movement sequences, the group returned to the main hall to have tea and raffle. The energy within the group was transformed. There was more lively chatter, excitement in the air- we were energised. It was a fantastic day-We enjoyed it all’. Nancy Ouchida-Howells
